Destiny is a choice not a chance
The audacity of hope.
In the Obama biography, when Barack Obama was in kenya in 1988, no one including his relatives gave any welcome, yes because he was not popular infact he was yet to join the university...his luggage was misplaced and flown to South Africa, after doing a follow up at JKIA to have his luggage back to Kenya, the staff at JKIA responded with rudeness,at one point he was told by one of the staff if he can't wait he should take another flight to S.A...in Kogello,
Obama took a sip of Chang'aa with his step brother Roy, he visited his aunt in kariokor market and another one in mathare in all these visits, he received casual welcoming. In fact at some point he went to the market with his grandmother SARAH OBAMA carrying a " gunia"
In 2006 when he came to Kenya as a senator of Illinois, most of the local leaders never recognized him,he was never accorded much security 9 years later.
On 24th July 2015 Barack Obama landed in Kenya as a president,Yes The President Of United States ,on board Air Force One the most secure airplane in the world. When the plane touched down at JKIA everything came to a stand still, business in East Africa largest economy, the big city Nairobi literally remained closed from 2pm to 10pm and major roads remained blocked for his entourage, security was top notch, The most powerful man in planet earth, President of the arguably most powerful nation in the world, and above all the most guarded and secured human being in planet earth.
This is the journey from 1988 ! 20 years later he became the first black president of the free world yes, at 47 he had achieved it all.
This is time put into good use. Time is an expensive resource that God gives equally to all, rich and poor.
Every moment is a time to make a difference to yourself and to the world.
Time is not money ! it is more expensive than money.Don't waste it, when money is wasted, one can work hard and earn more but not time.
Every day is a day of making history, make it worth reading.
